October 23–25 · Global weekend of action
Protest the companies that experiment on dogs.
October 23–25 is a global weekend of action to end the use of dogs in laboratory experiments. Communities everywhere will protest and disrupt the companies near them that are complicit in dog experimentation. Pick a facility near you, set a time, and tell us so we can help bring people out.
Step one
Register your local action
Once you have a location and a time, send us the details. We’ll promote your action so more people show up.
Action plan
A suggested plan for your protest
- 1
Pick a target
Any protest against dog experimentation that follows the principles of nonviolence is part of the weekend. We suggest a laboratory, corporate office, or other facility owned by one of the companies listed below.
- 2
Be loud outside
Chant, hold signs and banners, and hand out leaflets. Print-ready materials are in this folder.
- 3
Take it inside
If you can get into the publicly accessible part of the building, stage a disruption inside for several minutes, then continue your protest outside.
- 4
Build the visual
Have a couple of activists sit on the ground wearing inhalation masks, for the dogs forced to wear them in toxicology experiments. Here is an affordable mask you can order. Another activist stands over them in a lab coat covered in fake blood. If you can, that activist holds a medium-sized gas-tank-style container that looks connected to the mask tubing. Print this label for the container.

- 5
Film it and share it
Take photos and vertical videos. After your protest, upload them here so they can go into Direct Action Everywhere’s compilation post.
Targets
These companies experiment on dogs
Find a facility near you owned by one of these companies. If there isn’t one nearby, you can protest Petco, which still sells ferret products produced by Marshall BioResources. Tap a card to see an experiment on dogs that it was part of.
